Circle of Security
Weeks 2 & 3: Attachment
I love the Circle of Security philosophy or approach. (1) Give your child enough self-confidence and opportunity to go out into the world, explore and then come back to you to charge up and then go back out. This circle continues to happen throughout the child rearing experience. (2) Anti-fragility thinking — don’t be afraid to let your kids get hurt. The best teacher is trial and error.
