The Spiritual Seasons: Finding Life Again

Let’s continue to process how the natural seasons provide framework for the spiritual life. We live through many seasons with God. I often think of what it would be like to be part of the 400 years between Malachi and the revelation of Jesus expected birth of Jesus in the gospels. I live in the light of the New Testament and under the protection and provision of the Holy Spirit. Even with the presences of God’s spirit close to me all the time, I still experience a spiritual ebb and flow.

The Fall: Disillusionment: The testing, trials and spiritual warfare season. A time when dreams begin to fade.

The Winter: Death: The time between feeling dry and the waiting season. This is when God feels silent.

The Spring: Dream: The time that God plants a dream and you grind out the process of fulfilling the dream.

The Summer: Development: This is a time of celebration. All that has been planted is now blooming.
